About the Event:
The Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) has committed to providing grant funding to ATI, valued at USD56m. The grant is geared towards the continued implementation of ATI’s Regional Liquidity Support Facility (RLSF) and increased support for the off-grid sector and other eligible forms of distributed renewable energy.
RLSF was launched in 2017 by ATI and the KfW Development Bank to address short-term liquidity risks in the financing of small and medium-sized renewable energy projects in sub-Saharan Africa. With the new partnership, RLSF has been enhanced to make its contractual structure simpler, cheaper and for the product to be easily deployed.
